Risk fund Colosseum announced the results of the 9th Solana Foundation Hackathon Solana Renaissance competition on the evening of May 6. First Place: Meshmap + City Champ

Meshmap is a project developed by a Japanese team. Meshmap builds a 3D map of the world through community-submitted 3D scans and rewards players through token incentives (proposed MESH token) and games. As the first place winner in the blockchain gaming sector of the Solana Hackathon, the project received a reward of 30,000 USDC.

As a proof of concept, Meshmap has developed a mixed reality first-person combat and tower defense game called City Champ using Unity and Solana for Meta Quest 2/3/Pro. As players, users need to defend their city, resist the terror creatures generated by urban social problems, fight enemies, defend the city core, and collect achievements to win. As 3D scanners, users can use the built-in laser scanner on their phones to scan the grid, find new game areas, and submit them to MeshMap to increase the possibilities of endless levels.

Although there is very little information about City Champ and the specific game content cannot be experienced, as the first place winner in the blockchain gaming sector of the latest Solana Hackathon, it is still worth paying attention to. Legends of the Sun is a combat arena game where players can engage in 1v1, 3v3, and 5v5 battles. Gameplay includes various technology trees such as swords, crossbows, firearms, magic, and drones. Equipment will be randomly airdropped through loot chests, and spending in-game currency (a lot) can upgrade the rarity of equipment. Equipment also has durability, meaning it may be damaged and require repair or repurchase. In addition to equipable items, there are many consumables such as food, potions, and grenades that can be thrown. Fully repaired or completely damaged equipment can be traded as compressed tradable items in the grand market.

Its in-game token is TNT, which integrates real-world cryptocurrencies with game NFTs using the SPL-404 standard on the Solana blockchain. Additionally, TNT will become scarcer through a burning mechanism. Currently, the game can only be experienced on Android mobile devices.

Fifth Place: Maneko

Maneko is an electronic pet Web 3 mobile game with a built-in game launcher. This blockchain game is one of the most playable games in the list of winners. The specific operation tutorial is as follows:

STEP 1. Visit the game's official website and register an account (Google email/Twitter/wallet can be used to log in), and enter the invitation code: PBMRGA (the invitation code is required during the beta testing phase to enter).

STEP 2. Deposit a small amount of SOL into the in-game wallet for NFT minting.
