According to the announcement made by BitPay on X (formerly Twitter) on October 17th, the online gaming platform Roblox, with over 200 million monthly active users, now accepts XRP (XRP) as a payment method.

Xsolla now supports XRP as a payment method and is responsible for managing in-game payments for Roblox. BitPay will serve as a partner responsible for seamless integration with cryptocurrency wallets.

Roblox can run on all major platforms such as Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, with a daily active user base of 65.5 million, 44% of whom are under the age of 13. In the first quarter of 2023, Roblox users' in-game spending amounted to approximately $7.73 billion.

Xsolla has been actively working to incorporate cryptocurrency into its payment system. In August 2022, it collaborated with the automated cryptocurrency management platform Coinchange Financial and the live social Web3 platform TradeZing to develop a non-fungible token (NFT) payment solution. In August 2023, it partnered with Crypto.com to integrate the latter's checkout solution into Xsolla's Pay Station platform.

The collaboration between Xsolla and BitPay dates back to 2014 when the service began accepting Bitcoin (BTC) payments. In September 2023, BitPay and Xsolla launched PayPal US Dollars (PYUSD) payments for merchants and consumers.
