As a game producer, I have over 10 years of experience in the Japanese game industry, participating in the entire process of developing and operating multiple games.

Q: Can you briefly introduce what kind of project TOKYO BEAST is?

A: The story of TOKYO BEAST is set in 2123, 100 years in the future in Tokyo. In this world, the number of "Replicants," mechanical dolls, exceeds the human population and supports the world economy. The "BEAST" mechanical dolls are used to compete in a popular entertainment activity called "XENO-Karate."

TOKYO BEAST is a digital asset entertainment IP project. It is not just a Web3 game, but it aims to create the IP world of TOKYO BEAST through various modular projects, building an economic system exclusive to the token "TBZ."

We plan to release the following core modules by 2024.

"BASE": TOKYO BEAST's unique token "TBZ" economic model.

"FARM": A system for nurturing "BEAST" with NFT as the core data.

"TRIALS": A hero battle game full of dreams and romance.

Q: Can you tell us about the background of the project? Why did you want to create this project? What was the starting point? Can you share some interesting behind-the-scenes stories?

A: Projects like Axie Infinity and StepN, although they have achieved a certain level of success in the business sense, are often criticized for "lack of budget, lack of quality, lack of sincerity," and "just adding elements of Crypto to unrelated Web2 games," or being "speculative works abandoned by the operation team shortly after release" for most current blockchain games (of course, there have been some high-quality blockchain games recently). At the same time, as a team with rich experience in game development, we firmly believe that we can create a completely new and interesting game entertainment experience that Web2 cannot achieve but Web3 can.

I will introduce the game system of TOKYO BEAST in detail later. I believe the biggest feature of our project is that both players who want to experience the game in a Web2 manner and those who want to experience it in a Web3 manner can find their own gaming pleasure and immerse themselves in it. A: BASE mainly implements the functionality for investing and consuming the exclusive token "TBZ" to be issued by TOKYO BEAST. Users can earn rewards by staking and locking TBZ, and use TBZ to purchase LUCKY TICKET NFT to participate in the weekly lottery, with the chance to win BEAST NFT.

In the game, "PROXY BEAST" serves as a copy of "BEAST NFT" and can be created without limit and used by players in battles. The more active these "PROXY BEAST" are in battles, the more rewards the "BEAST NFT" holders can receive. The honor proof of winning in battles also directly affects the value of "BEAST NFT."

TRIALS is a game system that allows players to battle and level up in "XENO-Karate" matches with their owned PROXY BEAST. The parties participating in the battles need to present a group of 4 BEAST. The battle mode is a strategic automatic turn-based system.

On weekdays, all players can freely compete in the arena and earn points. The top 20 players will compete in the weekend championship, and rewards will be distributed based on rankings. The key to winning the match lies in using one's own unique strategy, combining thousands of different types of BEAST, and seizing the opportunity to use "MOD," an item that enhances the status of BEAST.

The BETTING feature allows players to participate in betting on the outcome of the weekend championship of TRIALS. The betting chips are "T-CHIP" obtained for free when participating in TRIALS matches. If the match result is guessed correctly, players can earn tokens.

In this way, "token holders," "NFT holders," "game players," and "bettors" are organically combined and mutually influenced through the game mechanism of TOKYO BEAST, while each can also enjoy different pleasures and rewards.

Q: What differences do you think there are when producing Web3 games compared to Web2 games? What are your expectations for Web3 blockchain games? Or what kind of gaming experience do you think blockchain games should offer?

A: I think the biggest weakness of current Web3 blockchain games is that the player base is too small. It can also be said that for the general gaming audience, there is still a high barrier to entry in terms of owning and managing a personal wallet, and engaging in token and NFT transactions.

Overcoming this weakness will take time. What we want to do now is to simultaneously meet the needs of Web2 and Web3 players, allowing them to join the game together. To achieve this, we have designed and developed the NFT Proxy Model.

By using the PROXY BEAST (a copy of the BEAST NFT) to play the game, we can eliminate the problem that regular users face when starting a Web3 game, such as not having a wallet or needing to purchase initial NFTs, making it possible for many players who are not familiar with Web3 games to participate.

For NFT holders, the value of the BEAST NFT is determined by the activity of the PROXY BEAST in matches. Therefore, its value is not the common "lack of utility, only due to scarcity and popularity" seen in some NFT projects, but rather "due to the presence of a large number of players and activity in the game." The core value of the BEAST NFT will be supported by the "activity of TOKYO BEAST matches."

Furthermore, even without unlimited issuance of BEAST NFTs, it is still possible to allow an unlimited number of players to join the game. This helps to maintain its scarcity by controlling the issuance quantity of NFTs.

Q: Compared to other blockchain games, what do you think sets TOKYO BEAST apart? Or what kind of change do you want to bring to the current blockchain gaming industry through TOKYO BEAST?

A: As we mentioned earlier, TOKYO BEAST is not just a Web2 game or a Web3 game, but a completely new experience that arises from the organic combination of both. This is something that traditional Web2 or Web3 games do not possess. In particular, through the NFT Proxy Model and the mechanism of BETTING, TOKYO BEAST has a unique personality. We have already discussed the NFT Proxy Model, so I won't go into detail here.

Regarding BETTING, I believe that through this mechanism, we can cultivate super players and NFT holders who are passionate, enthusiastic, and have a sense of honor, which are difficult to find in Web2 games. A: After the official announcement in September, our current focus is on how to make more Web3 users aware of TOKYO BEAST and start paying attention to us. A: We will officially start operating the official Discord community in February next year. After that, we plan to sequentially complete the following module projects: 1. Launch of the BASE functionality and token listing on exchanges; 2. Launch of the FARM functionality and official NFT sales; 3. Official launch of the TRIAL and BETTING game functionalities.

After that, we also plan to add the following module projects:
