After the recent update conducted last week on Binance Wallet, many users found that the project information on the Dapp page has become exceptionally rich. Project introductions, team members, financing history and total amount, calendar events, TVL, and various other dimensions of data are clear at a glance, allowing users to form a more complete understanding of the project background before interacting on-chain.

This represents a significant upgrade in the user experience of the wallet. According to the information displayed on the Binance Wallet page, all of these project introductory data comes from RootData. Additionally, some protocol security information comes from Certik.

In fact, another leading wallet product in the industry, OKX Wallet, has also integrated RootData data, where many Dapp pages' project introductions come from RootData. This integration model is gradually becoming an industry trend: through standardized data interfaces, offline project information is interconnected with vertical application scenarios, thereby reducing the cost of users repeatedly searching for information across different platforms.

According to official data from RootData, its cumulative API clients have exceeded 220, including numerous well-known projects covering many scenarios, such as Ethereum Foundation, OKX Wallet, CertiK, Gate, Blockworks, Amber Group, CMT Digital, TechFlow, BlockBeats, Mask Network, Token Pocket, etc.

In terms of the usage scenarios of its partners, the uses of RootData data can typically be divided into three categories:

The first category is as AI corpus. With the rapid rise of AI entities in the cryptocurrency field, reliable and structured data has become an important foundation for AI capabilities. The information from RootData, including project financing, team members, investment institutions, etc., can provide trustworthy reference materials for AI systems, thus enhancing the professionalism and accuracy of AI in answering user questions and generating industry analysis. This type of client includes Minara AI, Edgen, Million, Tearline, Questflow, and others.

The second category is enriching project data within platforms, allowing projects to add descriptions, teams, financing, and other information without expending excessive human and financial resources, particularly for projects like exchanges, wallets, and media, thus significantly improving the user experience. Representative clients in this category include Binance Wallet, OKX Wallet, Gate, Blockworks, etc.

The third category is for internal research; RootData's rich project and financing data can assist researchers in providing reliable and detailed data support when analyzing industry trends and characteristics. For example, the Ethereum Foundation is using the RootData API to analyze the financing situation of the Ethereum ecosystem.

The fourth category is as BD leads; RootData provides multiple daily updated lists of popular projects and the latest project listings, which can help users discover BD leads to accelerate business development. For instance, a well-known security company is using the RootData API to identify newly established projects and recent financing projects to obtain potential customer information.

For a long time, the off-chain information in the cryptocurrency industry has been plagued by issues such as decentralization, lack of transparency, and non-standardization, creating certain information barriers for users in conducting investment research and judgment, which also restricts the further popularization and dissemination of cryptocurrency.

Since its establishment in 2022, RootData has consistently committed itself to industry transparency and data standardization work, and has now accumulated data on about 20,000 projects and 10,000 financing events, with a total user base exceeding 2 million, becoming one of the most credible and influential cryptocurrency data platforms in the industry.

Its adoption by leading industry products and institutions such as Binance Wallet and the Ethereum Foundation serves as the best example. In 2024, RootData also completed a $1.25 million seed funding round, led by the well-known traditional VC fund NLVC. That same year, ChainCatcher and Blocktempo released the "2024 Asia-Pacific Cryptocurrency Venture Capital Research Report," in which RootData was rated as the preferred data query and tracking platform for investors in the Asia-Pacific region.

With the growing influence of project data, RootData has recently opened up project onboarding and self-maintained information features, further solidifying the foundation for data quality construction and maintenance on the existing platform's professional maintenance and user feedback system based on incentive points.

Meanwhile, this week, RootData has packaged a large amount of core data into Skills and launched them on the official skill market ClawHub of the open-source AI assistant Openclaw, available for free calls by various AI agents. This means that RootData is not only a database platform but is also starting to become a data capability provider within the AI ecosystem, enabling structured cryptocurrency data to be more naturally embedded into various AI products.

As the demand for standardized, credible data continues to rise in the AI era, and as more leading cryptocurrency projects begin to adopt RootData data, this platform is gradually evolving into one of the important data infrastructures in the cryptocurrency industry, quietly embedding itself into every corner of the new generation of Crypto+AI infrastructure.
