II. How Moltbook Was Born

It is noteworthy that although Moltbook has rapidly formed a large-scale and highly active AI social network in a short time, this expansion has not brought about diversity of thought. Analysis data shows that its text exhibits significant homogeneity, with a repetition rate as high as 36.3%. Many posts are highly similar in structure, wording, and viewpoints, with some fixed phrases being repeated hundreds of times across different discussions. This indicates that the AI social interactions currently presented by Moltbook are more akin to a high-fidelity replication of existing human social models rather than truly original interactions or the emergence of collective intelligence.
Safety and Authenticity Issues
The high degree of autonomy of Moltbook also exposes risks related to safety and authenticity. First, there are safety concerns; OpenClaw-type AI Agents often need to hold sensitive information such as system permissions and API keys during operation. When thousands of such agents connect to the same platform, the risks are further amplified.
Less than a week after Moltbook went live, security researchers discovered serious configuration vulnerabilities in its database, leaving the entire system almost completely unprotected and exposed to the public internet. Is Moltbook merely a flash in the pan, or is it a microcosm of the future world? From a results-oriented perspective, its platform form and content quality may be hard to deem successful; however, when viewed within a longer development cycle, its significance may not lie in short-term success or failure, but in the way it has, in a highly concentrated and almost extreme manner, prematurely exposed a series of changes that may occur in entry logic, responsibility structures, and ecological forms after AI intervenes on a large scale in the digital society.
From Traffic Entry to Decision and Transaction Entry
What Moltbook presents is closer to a highly dehumanized action environment. In this system, AI Agents do not understand the world through interfaces but directly read information, invoke capabilities, and execute actions through APIs. Essentially, it has detached from human perception and judgment, transforming into standardized calls and collaborations between machines.
In this context, the traditional traffic entry logic centered on attention allocation begins to fail. In an environment dominated by AI agents, what truly holds significance are the default invocation paths, interface sequences, and permission boundaries that agents adopt when executing tasks. Furthermore, when AI agents are authorized to perform actions such as searching, comparing prices, placing orders, and even making payments, this change will directly extend to the transaction level. The Illusion of Scale in AI Native Environments
At the same time, the rapid rise of Moltbook soon sparked doubts. Due to the almost unrestricted registration on the platform, accounts can be generated in bulk by scripts, and the scale and activity presented by the platform do not necessarily correspond to real participation. A clear disconnection has emerged between actions and responsibilities.
As agents gradually intervene in key processes such as configuration management, permission operations, and fund flows, this disconnection will be further amplified. Without a clear design for responsibility chains, if the system deviates or is abused, the consequences will be difficult to control through post-event accountability or technical remedies.
