This partnership will establish Chainlink as the data standard for Ondo's tokenized stocks and ETFs, and both parties will work together to promote CCIP as the preferred cross-chain solution for traditional financial institutions. Additionally, Chainlink has officially joined the Ondo Global Market Alliance to help drive the adoption and popularity of tokenized stocks on-chain.
Building the Foundation for Tokenized Stocks
Ondo Global Markets is currently the largest on-chain trading platform for tokenized stocks and ETFs, with over 100 tokenized assets launched and a total locked value (TVL) exceeding $300 million.
By leveraging Chainlink's institutional-grade data infrastructure, Ondo's tokenized stocks and ETFs will utilize industry-leading, reliable data inputs for pricing across all supported blockchains. To ensure the reliability of market data, Chainlink provides customized price data sources for each tokenized stock. These Chainlink data sources cover all economic and corporate action events, such as dividend distributions, thereby providing comprehensive valuations directly on-chain.
Driving On-Chain Interconnectivity for Financial Institutions
Ondo has one of the largest ecosystems for the tokenization of physical assets globally, encompassing leading financial institutions and top DeFi protocols, with assets launched on 10 blockchains and integrated into over 100 applications.
Now, Ondo and Chainlink will work with top institutions to migrate their assets and operations on-chain using Ondo's tokenization infrastructure and assets. The collaboration between Ondo and Chainlink aims to make CCIP the preferred cross-chain solution for traditional financial institutions.
