On January 5, 2024, the "Seeking Win-Win • China AIGC Industry Application Summit and Unbounded AI Ecological Partner Conference" was held in Hangzhou Future Technology City. The conference was jointly guided by the Hangzhou Future Technology City Management Committee, the Yuhang District Science and Technology Bureau, and the Yuhang District Enterprise (Talent) Comprehensive Service Center, hosted by TimeStamp Technology, and received special media support from AI New Horizon.

Liu Jing, General Manager of the Wanshili Artificial Intelligence Creative Project, shared a successful case of using AIGC in silk design to achieve flexible production in her keynote speech. Liu Jing also introduced the first practical graphic AI large model in the silk industry jointly launched by Wanshili Silk and Unbounded AI—the Wanshili Floral Large Model. The AI drawing mini-program "Linghua," based on this model, was officially launched on the day of the conference.

The following is the speech content compiled by AI New Horizon, with some deletions for easier reading:

To all the partners of the Unbounded AI ecosystem, as well as future partners, hello!

My name is Liu Jing, from the Wanshili AIGC Laboratory. Wanshili Silk has been deeply cultivating the silk and cultural and creative fields for 48 years. Since 2018, we have been researching how to break through the creative design productivity bottleneck in the cultural and creative industry using artificial intelligence. From 2022 to early 2023, the large model made a significant leap in development, and we quickly shifted to explore the AIGC field, officially renaming the "Wanshili AI Platform" to the Wanshili AIGC Laboratory.

In fact, since 2018, we have been using convolutional neural network (CNN) models for ecological design creativity. What you see now is our training logic from several years ago. We use the transformation and utilization of graphic structures, colors, floral patterns, and elements to achieve a breakthrough in design productivity. The major limitation of this CNN model lies in the accumulation and classification management of the database. As long as our materials are not sufficient, it is difficult to produce good results no matter how powerful the algorithm is.

The large models that emerged in 2023 were implemented using Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN), not only training themselves to the level of undergraduate students in advance but also truly solving our dilemma with the element library.

Our floral pattern library has a certain amount based on the accumulation of the past 48 years, but whether this amount can be iterated at the same speed every year is actually a significant issue. So, in June of last year, we signed a cooperation agreement with Unbounded AI, hoping to co-create an application model in a vertical field based on the large model. As a physical enterprise, we do not aim to build a huge model belonging to the ecological industry, but to stand on the shoulders of giants and think about how to land the large model and solve the last mile problem between enterprises and technology.

The mode of production before sales has caused great trouble to the current manufacturing industry. With AIGC's graphic creative design capability as the core, we launched Wanshili's selection platform, providing customers with online selection and one-click sampling services. Combined with the world's first "GBART digital green printing integrated machine" that can deliver finished products in the fastest 2 hours with zero wastewater, we have established a flexible intelligent production chain, realizing a flexible production mode after sales.

At the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games, our model withstood the test. In the main media center of the Asian Games, Wanshili created a 100-square-meter "AI Silk Scarf Design Experience Pavilion," where media reporters could interact with AI to design personalized Asian Games-themed scarves and have them produced on-site, attracting over 8,000 domestic and foreign media outlets to report. In the Asian Games Village, Wanshili set up three major service display points: the Culture House, Market, and Specialty Store, customizing personalized scarves for 190 Asian Games champions and having over 200 champions sign Chinese silk scarves.

A few days ago, Mr. Li Yanhong emphasized at the conference that the large model itself has no value, and it only has value when it is precisely focused on its own industry and applied. Wanshili integrates the characteristics of the textile, printing and dyeing, and silk professional fields with AIGC, and together with Unbounded AI, co-created the "Wanshili Floral Large Model," which can generate a large number of products or small tools based on the large model, making it very valuable.

The Wanshili Floral Large Model has 12 themes. Today, we are releasing "Twelve Auspiciousness," "Flowers and Joy," "Future New Era," and "Phantom Portrait," and the remaining themes will be completed by April next year.

During the training process, we continuously expand our understanding of art. We used to be very fixed in the training logic of vector graphics, but when we used the large model, we found that it could give us many unexpected creations. This includes the animal series, festival floral language series, future interstellar series, and "People's Daily style." In fact, every city should have its own language and cultural communication method, and today's new large model AI drawing capability may be a very good communication channel.

In December, we collaborated with the "Beautiful Zhejiang" media platform under the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee to create a series of city floral language scarves, from creation to display, and then to the hands of consumers, all completed in about 3 days. I think it is due to the wisdom of the large model and the flexible and rapid production capacity, concentrating on delivering this production effect.

In the New Year's gift section, we used the ability of "hidden words in paintings" to put New Year blessings on physical scrolls.

Why do we want to do these fun and seemingly unrelated things to the silk industry, but very beautiful? Because silk itself is a very textured, culturally rich scroll of Chinese culture. It is a carrier that embraces all rivers, and AI can unleash its imagination.

Today, based on the Wanshili Floral Large Model, the AI drawing mini-program "Linghua" has been officially launched, and very fun digital greeting card products have been released. Interested partners can scan the code to experience it.

Finally, AIGC has truly opened up a vast expanse of the universe, constantly inspiring our artistic imagination. What we need to do next is to figure out what methods and paths to take to reach that vast expanse of the universe.
