Alright, the CME October rate hike probability data is finally out—43.7%. Before the data release, it was 21.6%, so it’s basically doubled. Tomorrow night’s PPI release might push it up a bit more. By the time we get to the 10.29 FOMC meeting, it’ll probably carry about a 50% suspense going in, but in the end, no rate hike. These old geezers have played this little trick to perfection.
