Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) Secretly Warns of Foreign Intervention Before Richmond Election!
Alexa Loo's close dealings with Chinese diplomats deserve public explanation!
On August 1, 2026, Canadian investigative journalist Bob Mackin revealed at the Breaker that the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) dispatched three personnel to issue warnings to the Mayor of Richmond and the City Council about the risks of foreign intervention in the October 17 election.
Another investigative journalist, Sam Cooper, also independently reported on this closed door briefing.
According to reports, CSIS specifically reminds city councilors:
⚠️ Local politicians may become targets of foreign government influence, and it is particularly important to be wary of private events organized by individuals associated with foreign powers.
The official records of Richmond City Hall confirm that a special closed door meeting was indeed held by the city council at 3pm on July 6th.
What is more noteworthy is what happened before and after this warning.
July 1st: Alexa Loo Meets Chinese Diplomat
Just a few days before the CSIS briefing, Richmond mayoral candidate Alexa Loo (Lu Xianyong) and members of the Richmond Strong team attended the National Day event hosted by the Canadian Chinese Association (CACA).
The Breaker reported that she sat next to the Acting Consul General of China in Vancouver, Zeng Zhi, and took the stage to speak at the event.
The official announcement from the Chinese Consulate General in Vancouver on July 3rd also confirmed that Zeng Zhi participated in the event organized by CACA.
This is not the first time it has attracted attention
In 2023, theBreaker revealed that Alexa Loo attended a private Spring Festival gathering with CACA Honorary Chairman Wang Dianqi.
The report pointed out that Wang Dianqi had donated 500 Canadian dollars to her 2022 city councilor re-election campaign and publicly provided funds or supplies to Chinese soldiers.
Alexa Loo previously explained that participating in community activities does not necessarily mean endorsing the personal political views of other participants.
July 6th: CSIS Briefing
According to two investigative media reports, CSIS has warned the Richmond City Council of the risks of foreign intervention.
But it must be clarified that there is currently no public evidence to prove that CSIS specifically investigated Alexa Loo, or that this briefing was triggered by her participation in the aforementioned activities.
The question is, since the national security agency has already issued a warning to the Richmond City Council, and there are photos and public reports of relevant contacts, should the mayoral candidate take the initiative to increase transparency?
I have three questions to ask Alexa Loo:
one ️⃣ Do you have any cooperation or coordination with the Chinese Consulate and related overseas Chinese organizations regarding the current mayoral election?
two ️⃣ Have you ever received any campaign funds, promotional resources, or voter mobilization support directly or indirectly provided by any foreign entity?
three ️⃣ After CSIS issued a foreign intervention warning to the city council, have you re examined the political background of the relevant organizations and taken any measures to ensure the independence of the election?
Participating in overseas Chinese activities or taking photos with diplomats is not an illegal act in itself. Public records have not yet proven any secret campaign coordination.
But in today's highly concerned issue of foreign intervention in Canada, transparency should become a shared responsibility of all mayoral candidates.
Richmond voters have the right to know: who is supporting the candidate? Who is providing resources? Is there any undisclosed foreign political influence?
There are only a few days left until the voting on October 17th.
Alexa Loo, @ Alexaloo, would you be willing to publicly answer these questions before the election?
