Seeing BG integrate Nasdaq's official data source and become the first crypto platform in the industry to adopt this standard, I think this move is actually quite noteworthy. In the past, when people talked about crypto platforms offering U.S. stocks or stock-like assets, the focus was more on 'whether the product exists.' But if you dig deeper, the authority and standardization of the data source are actually part of the infrastructure.
Nasdaq itself is one of the world's most important securities markets and financial data service institutions. Bitget's direct adoption of the official data source this time essentially fills in the foundational data link for TradFi assets entering the crypto trading ecosystem.
If, in the future, more traditional assets like stocks, indices, ETFs, etc., continue to enter on-chain or crypto trading scenarios, then the ability to standardize underlying aspects like market data, trading, clearing, and risk management might be more critical than simply adding more assets.
This move by Bitget at least shows that they are proactively laying the groundwork in this direction.
