genuinely don't get why more people aren't doing this yet
Andrej karpathy (openai co-founder) posted something a few weeks back that quietly went viral:
stop using claude to write code.
use it to build yourself a second brain.
point claude code at a folder.
drop in anything an article, a transcript, a pdf.
it reads it, links it, files it into a wiki of everything you've ever learned.
the more you feed it, the smarter it gets.
here's the entire setup:
```
/vault
/raw → dump sources here
/wiki → claude builds its own pages here
CLAUDE.md → the instructions that run the whole thing
```
1. install obsidian
2. create a vault
3. open it in claude code
4. paste karpathy's idea and tell claude to build it
5. claude makes the folders above automatically
6. drop a source into raw and say "ingest this"
7. ask questions across everything you've saved, forever
five minutes to set up.
you never start from a blank chat again.
