According to Bloomberg, Kalshi plans to apply to the CFTC as early as next week to launch perpetual futures contracts tied to WTI crude oil. This product has no expiration date and, if approved, would become the first of its kind on a regulated platform in the U.S. Kalshi intends to set the trading hours for this product to 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, instead of the 24/7 model used for its crypto perpetual contracts, addressing regulators' concerns about round-the-clock trading. Previously, the CFTC had allowed Kalshi to launch crypto perpetual contracts, which led CME to sue the CFTC in June. Following that, the CFTC paused CME's proposed 24/7 trading plan for crude oil futures and is currently consulting with oil companies and refiners on the impact of round-the-clock crude trading on benchmark pricing. https://(wublock123.com)/news/kalshi-wti-perpetual-futures-24x5-trading-67696
