According to WuTalk, the Solana core client development team Anza stated that Solana is gradually removing floating-point operations from its core protocol to reduce the risk of consensus divergence or network activity issues caused by rounding differences across different hardware, validator clients, and compilers. SIMD-0391 has been activated on the mainnet Beta epoch 1026, replacing the floating-point operations in the Stake Program and validator client’s stake warm-up and cool-down logic with fixed-point operations. SIMD-0607 has been proposed and is under review, aiming to further remove floating-point operations in the runtime paths for inflation rewards and rent calculations. Other lower-priority floating-point operation paths will also be gradually migrated to fixed-point operations in the future. https://(wublock123.com)/news/news-67534
