This afternoon, I met with the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association (JHTA) to discuss the strategic priorities that will help strengthen Jamaica’s tourism sector and sustain its long-term competitiveness.
Tourism remains a critical pillar of our economy, supporting jobs, businesses, communities and investment across the island. As the sector continues to evolve, we must remain focused on the issues that matter, improving our tourism product, strengthening infrastructure, supporting our tourism workers and businesses, enhancing the visitor experience and creating an environment that encourages continued investment.
Our discussions also focused on the opportunities ahead and the work required to ensure Jamaica remains a leading destination for visitors while continuing to attract investment.
Your Government will continue to work closely with our tourism partners to build a stronger, more resilient tourism industry that delivers lasting benefits for our people.(Andrew Holness)
