Sui Co-Founder Developing $10 Quantum-Safe Hardware Wallet
PANews|8月 12, 2026 01:39
(According to Bitcoin.com News) Mysten Labs co-founder and chief cryptographer Kostas Chalkias revealed that he has quietly leased a factory to mass-produce quantum-resistant hardware wallet cards for Sui, with a target price of under $10 per card and NFC quantum signature times controlled within 1-2 seconds. The project is being advanced during his personal free time, and he mentioned that he might even sponsor these cards for users who cannot afford them. This wallet project builds upon the work already conducted at the Sui protocol layer. Sui plans to add two NIST-approved post-quantum signature schemes: one for everyday accounts and another for high-value Move-based vaults. Existing Sui accounts can rotate to quantum-resistant keys using current recovery phrases without needing to migrate to a new wallet.
