Iran says the Strait of Hormuz stays closed until the U.S. caves on every demand it has. The Revolutionary Guards spokesman put it plainly on Sunday: they'll hold the strait until "the enemy accepts all our conditions." Not exactly leaving room for a counteroffer. Iran's foreign minister said the same day that a deal with Oman on the strait is in its "final stages," then immediately walked back what that means, repeating that reopening still depends on conditions the U.S. hasn't agreed to. At this point it's two exes who won't talk directly, using a go-between instead.
