[OpenAI's Self-Developed AI Browser Atlas Shut Down 292 Days After Launch]
According to GeekPark, OpenAI's AI-native browser Atlas has ceased operations. On October 21, 2025, OpenAI launched its self-developed AI-native browser Atlas, which was dubbed by the media as the 'Chrome killer.' However, 292 days later, Atlas officially shut down. Atlas was only available in a macOS version and never released a Windows or mobile version. During these 292 days, Chrome's global market share remained at two-thirds. Among other AI browser products, Arc stopped updates, Sidekick shut down, and The Browser Company was acquired by Atlassian.
