According to Ming Pao, Hong Kong police have arrested a 67-year-old woman suspected of approaching two victims under the pretense of renting parking spaces and residential properties. After gaining their trust, she allegedly lured them into investing in cryptocurrency, resulting in a total loss of approximately HK$4.3 million. Police stated that the scammer provided a mobile app with pre-set fake links, tricking the victims into handing over wallet control and depositing funds, which were then transferred away. The arrested woman is said to be a key member of the criminal syndicate involved.
