The past couple of weeks have been pretty lively on OKX Planet. You can clearly feel that a lot of new friends have joined in, and interactions have increased. But along with the buzz, there have also been some voices and disagreements. Many friends feel frustrated: 'I’ve been seriously writing articles and posting content, so why are my earnings so low, or even nonexistent? Are the rewards secretly being given to those big KOLs with built-in traffic?'
As one of the earliest creators invited to join OKX Planet, I think I’m qualified to share my thoughts. You can see my July earnings from content creation below (screenshot). In total, I only earned a little over 100U (while my Twitter monthly earnings exceeded 1000U).
This is because in July, due to the sluggish market, I didn’t have much motivation to write. Additionally, since I left most of the content creation to my research team, my personal OKX account wasn’t convenient to log into on their computers. So, most of my posts were automatically synced from Twitter, and the algorithm gives lower weight to synced content, which explains the lower earnings.
From my experience, it’s clear that hard work pays off, and the value of the content remains the core of OKX Planet’s evaluation.
If you feel your content is good but you’re not earning much, there’s a high chance you’ve encountered the algorithm adjustments and risk controls that the platform implemented in July.
Based on the information shared by the official team, the current algorithm isn’t solely focused on 'traffic numbers.' Instead, it places more emphasis on the genuine value of the content and the quality of interactions. Here are a few scenarios that might lead to your earnings being restricted or reset to zero:
1️⃣ Triggering risk control red flags: For example, including frequent external traffic-driving links in your content or touching on sensitive topics.
2️⃣ Falling under governance measures: The July algorithm specifically cracked down on two types of accounts—those that rely on 'group-like farming and fake comments' without substantive content, and those that mass-repost thoughtless AI-generated junk.
3️⃣ Weight differences in content positioning: OKX Planet gives higher weight to original content. While synced social media posts can still earn rewards, high-quality content tailored specifically for Planet readers will have significantly higher weight and dividends.
Of course, rules are rigid, and algorithms can make mistakes. As Haiteng mentioned, if you’re sure you haven’t violated any rules and your content is genuinely original, you can always reach out to the official team for verification. Any missed rewards will be corrected later.
Finally, I think content creation should return to its original purpose. Honestly, obsessing over algorithms and gaming the system for a few bucks is exhausting and takes away the true meaning of creating. As long as you think deeply, share sincerely, and provide valuable insights, I believe gold will shine eventually. And as an accessible platform for newcomers in the early stages, OKX Planet still offers plenty of opportunities. I suggest focusing less on short-term earnings fluctuations and investing more in creating valuable content. Time will naturally reward those who share with sincerity.
