**[BNB Chain Releases 2026 Second Half Technical Roadmap, Plans to Double Mainnet Throughput Again]**
Foresight News reports that BNB Chain has released its technical roadmap for the second half of 2026. During this period, BNB Chain will focus on three core objectives: doubling the mainnet throughput again (with a long-term goal of increasing it tenfold); reducing interference between applications through advanced resource isolation mechanisms; and optimizing the gas fee structure to lower access costs for enterprise users. Specific measures include implementing BEP-675, introducing dedicated channel solutions, advancing parallel execution based on BAL, and refining gas fee adjustments tailored to specific industries.
BNB Chain stated that in the first half of 2026, BSC had reduced block intervals from 750 milliseconds to 450 milliseconds, decreased memory finality time from 1,125 milliseconds to 650 milliseconds, and increased baseline throughput from approximately 2,800 TPS to 5,200 TPS (around 400 MGas/s). The BSC Rust client achieved full compatibility with Reth v2.0, doubling its performance.
Additionally, BNB Chain revealed that it is developing the next-generation L1 architecture, with goals including: 100,000+ TPS, transaction pre-confirmation within 50 milliseconds, a TxStream mechanism without a public mempool, PriorityLane reserved block space for on-chain governance, and native privacy transaction functionality at the protocol layer. This architecture is scheduled to launch on the testnet by the end of 2026 and go live on the mainnet in early 2027. BNB Chain will also continue advancing quantum-resistant security research, exploring hybrid quantum-resistant solutions combined with account abstraction pathways.
