Trading has gotten so complicated these days. Yesterday, WTI oil prices surged because of the U.S. and Iran clashing, the stock market dropped, and even bitcoin:native took a hit. But today, the tension is even higher—Trump is posting back-to-back videos about bombing Iran—yet oil prices are dropping, and the stock market is rebounding. It’s ridiculous how yesterday’s reason for a drop becomes today’s reason for a rise. Trading is seriously tough right now. As for the stock market, I haven’t gone in with big capital yet. Lately, I’ve been studying the Korean and U.S. stock markets, especially semiconductors. I’ve seen a lot of data on the Korean stock market, and honestly, the complexity there is even crazier than in the U.S. Tons of leveraged funds are driving the market up, while foreign capital has mostly been flowing out. The risks in the Korean market are pretty high, and I’m wondering if that might spill over into the U.S. market. Sticking to what I’m good at feels the safest. Yesterday, I shorted WTI at $75, and now it’s already dropped below $72. Made some steady gains on oil prices again. Trading doesn’t have to chase the hottest trends. The goal of trading is to make money, and only profitable trades are effective trades. So even if I miss out on semiconductors, I’m not worried. There’s plenty to trade in the market, and plenty of money to be made. Lately, I’ve been learning about options and using options and dual-currency strategies to trade Bitcoin. I’ve managed to make a little profit. My view on BTC hasn’t changed—it’s holding strong around $60,000. I don’t know if it’ll drop further, but I do know that $60,000 is a very attractive price for both traditional and crypto capital. Funds are willing to enter at this level, so I’m following suit and buying in. If it drops more, I’ll buy more. Manage your positions well—bear markets are for accumulating cheap chips. @Gate Crypto, U.S. stocks, Hong Kong stocks, Korean stocks, gold, CFDs, prediction markets—all-in-one trading.
