According to monitoring by Moonlock Lab, the Odyssey info-stealing Trojan on macOS has surged recently, affecting over 100 countries. This variant can steal passwords, cookies, and autofill data from browsers like Chrome, Brave, Edge, and Firefox; extract wallet files from more than 16 crypto apps, including Electrum, Exodus, Ledger Live, Trezor Suite, Bitcoin/LTC/Dash Core, and Monero; and target around 300 crypto extension IDs. It can also access SSH keys, cloud service configurations, Keychain databases, Telegram/Discord data, zsh history, and local passwords. Moonlock Lab reports that the Trojan also installs a persistent LaunchDaemon and replaces Ledger, Trezor, and Exodus apps with Trojanized “drainer” versions. Users are advised to verify app sources before installation.
