To all the bros holding positions in storage: When it comes to trading, you really don’t need to know where the market is headed. You just need to know what to do in the future market, and that’s enough. Looking back at my major losses, it all came down to me thinking I had everything under control and going all-in. I held on until I couldn’t anymore, stubbornly believing my judgment was absolutely right. I was only focused on doing whatever it took to predict the direction, but I never thought about how to handle uncertainty after opening a position or how to deal with losses. In other words, the moment we realize that real trading is about managing the uncertainty after holding a position, that’s the moment a trader finally pushes open the first door to the beginner’s level of trading and starts to truly understand trading techniques.
