The announcement was made by the working group lead, Simona Pop, on the X platform. In its sixth and final round of funding, the working group provided 450,000 USDC and 72.5 ETH, approximately $123,000, to Ethereum infrastructure projects such as Vyper, Argot Collective, and Remix Labs. Of this, $375,000 USDC was allocated as strategic funding, co-funded with the Ethereum Foundation at a roughly 1:1.2 ratio. Pop stated that ENS holds one of the largest treasuries in the crypto space, and the closure of the working group represents a missed opportunity to become what Vitalik Buterin referred to as an 'ecosystem hero.'
