When I saw Binance officially announce that the AUM of its Stocks product had exceeded $1 billion, my first reaction was that it had finally brought the traffic of traditional stock markets onto the chain. This is not a simple numbers game. A $1B asset management scale is already sufficient for a platform that focuses on encryption. More and more people do not want to switch back and forth between brokerage apps, banking apps, and encryption apps. They want an entrance to play BTC and ETH simultaneously, as well as directly buy global high cap stocks such as TSLA, AAPL, and AMZN. Binance's strategy this time is actually very clever. It did not directly compete for the jobs of traditional securities firms, but used a "one-stop" approach to attract users from both sides. We encrypted users can finally participate directly in the US stock market with familiar interfaces and fund flows. Traditional investors can also indirectly allocate stocks with stablecoins or encrypted assets on familiar platforms, seamlessly connecting these four words. It may sound easy, but it is actually extremely difficult to do. Of course, I personally remain a bit clear headed. This $1B may sound impressive, but compared to the scale of top global securities firms, it is still in its infancy. Whether it is regulation, slippage, or counterparty risk, these issues still exist after all, as it is cleared through Alpaca Securities. What truly determines whether it can continue to rise is not marketing, but the real user experience and long-term retention of Binance users. However, overall, this is a positive signal, which once again proves that the best financial products never trap users in a single track, but break down barriers and allow capital to flow freely. Binance has taken another big step forward this time, and for us ordinary users, being able to allocate global assets in a lower threshold and less friction way is progress in itself. What I would like to see more in the future is Binance continuing to deepen the concept of this super application, not just stocks, but also gradually incorporating bonds, funds, and even some alternative assets. When that day truly arrives, the boundary between traditional finance and encrypted finance may be completely blurred. What do you think? Do you think this is just a marketing number, or does it really represent the direction of the industry? @heyibinance @cz_binance @binance @binancezh
