Airwallex founder Jack just announced his involvement in incubating an L1 blockchain called Metal, designed for global payment settlements. As the fastest-growing cross-border payment company processing $300 billion annually, it's well-known that Jack has long held a firm resistance toward Crypto. Back in 2023, he explicitly stated that the company would not enter the Crypto space, and in 2024, he claimed that Crypto had no role in cross-border payments. Most famously, around this time last year, he also expressed skepticism about cryptocurrencies on Twitter, sparking intense debates.
