[Vance States Coordination Mechanism Established to Prevent Escalation in the Middle East] U.S. Vice President Vance delivered a speech in Switzerland. Vance stated that the United States has established a relevant coordination mechanism to prevent further escalation of conflicts in the Middle East and noted that this mechanism has begun to show results, with the situation in Lebanon recently easing. Vance emphasized that if conflicts continue to escalate, it would not only fail to help all parties maintain their own security but could also harm the overall security situation in the region. Therefore, the U.S. has established communication and coordination mechanisms with relevant parties to ensure the situation does not deteriorate further. Vance stated that, based on recent developments, the mechanism has already achieved initial success. "In the past 24 hours, the situation in Lebanon has been one of the calmest periods in recent times, and the previous 24 hours were also relatively stable." He also mentioned that if the U.S. agrees to unfreeze Iranian assets, these funds might be used to purchase American soybeans, corn, and wheat.
