[Insiders: SpaceX Orbital AI Computing Test Plan to Be Moved Up to 2027]
According to a report by Jinse Finance on June 10, citing Reuters, two individuals who attended a pre-IPO investor briefing revealed that SpaceX executives stated the company plans to initiate an initial demonstration of space-based artificial intelligence computing infrastructure by the end of 2027. This is earlier than the "earliest 2028" deployment timeline disclosed in its IPO filing. The orbital computing project is central to SpaceX's effort to showcase long-term growth prospects to investors. In its IPO documents, the company claimed to be the "only enterprise with a commercially viable path capable of building large-scale orbital AI computing systems."
