Recently, several exchanges in the cryptocurrency industry have launched their US stock products. I will compare and share the actual experiences of using Binance, Bitget, Gate, and Backpack platforms.
Overall, there are significant differences in the modes and experiences among the four companies:
one ️⃣ Binance is currently the most balanced and strongest one in my opinion. It follows the path of real stock ownership, supporting dividends, shareholder equity, etc. The number of stocks has directly increased to over 7000 (including a large number of ETFs), which other companies currently cannot compare to. The functionality is also the most complete, supporting both the app and the web, with relatively complete K-line, depth, limit order, and after hours trading. USDT can be traded directly without any exchange losses, and the handling fee has been adjusted to 5bps. The overall cost is quite friendly. Especially suitable for friends who want to make long-term investments and asset allocation, it feels closest to traditional securities firms when used.
two ️⃣ The advantages of Bitget are also very obvious, with a handling fee of 5bps, support for limit orders and after hours trading, and relatively comprehensive functions. Short term operations are quite convenient. But currently, it only supports apps and does not have a web version, which is slightly limited when used.
three ️⃣ Gate has done a good job in the USDT to USDx exchange, with almost no exchange rate loss and fast withdrawal. However, the overall transaction fee is relatively high (about 20bps overall), and it does not support after hours trading. There is also no company fundamental information available, so the experience is average.
four ️⃣ Backpack follows a combination of real stocks and on chain operations, with a web-based platform that is convenient to use and supports both company fundamentals and real equity. But the rates are relatively opaque, and USDT needs to be manually converted to USD, which will result in certain exchange rate losses. The trading of fragmented stocks is also limited, making it suitable for users who enjoy web operations and real shareholding.
If you mainly have long-term fixed investments, want the most stocks and ETFs, and real dividend equity, then Binance is currently the best choice; Bitget is also very popular for short-term trading, pursuing low transaction fees and features; Backpack is suitable for web enthusiasts, while Gate is more suitable for heavy users of stablecoins.
The transaction fee of Binance has been reduced to 5bps this time, which is on par with Bitget. With the increase in trading volume, it should be even better in the future. At present, we are preparing to find an opportunity to launch a fixed investment in the Nasdaq or S&P on Binance, and our team members are still calculating.
Overall, the US stock products in the cryptocurrency market are becoming more and more mature, and everyone can choose the platform according to their trading habits.
