According to Fox News, Meta teamed up with the FBI, the U.S. Department of Justice, Thai police, Microsoft, Coinbase, Starlink, and others to launch its largest anti-scam operation to date, targeting scam hubs and transnational crime networks in Southeast Asia. The operation began on May 18 and lasted two weeks, during which Thai police arrested 63 individuals suspected of being connected to scam centers. Meta reported that it has removed approximately 1.4 million scam-related accounts, pages, and groups on Facebook and Instagram; Coinbase froze over $3 million in crypto assets linked to the criminal networks. The scams involved include pig-butchering scams, crypto investment fraud, romance scams, and some hubs were even tied to forced labor. https://(wublock123.com)/news/meta-fbi-doj-crackdown-southeast-asia-scam-ring-thailand-arrests-62199
