[Polymarket Suspects Competitor Kalshi of Engaging in Corporate Espionage, Citing 'Too Many Coincidences'] According to Foresight News, as reported by the *New York Post*, sources reveal that prediction market platform Polymarket is investigating whether its main competitor, Kalshi, has engaged in corporate espionage. The company has created an internal file named 'copycat,' documenting over a dozen highly suspicious incidents. Polymarket's Director of Markets, Matthew Modabber, stated that Kalshi has repeatedly launched highly similar features just before Polymarket was about to release comparable products, with the timing being too coincidental. The company suspects that Kalshi may have been monitoring its employees from the Paradigm office (an investor in Kalshi) located across from Polymarket's office, even prompting Polymarket to apply window film to its office windows. Specific examples include: Kalshi launching a similar free grocery event just days before Polymarket planned to introduce a grocery store event, and Kalshi being reported in the media to have similar plans just before Polymarket was set to announce its perpetual contracts feature. Kalshi has denied all allegations, claiming these are either normal competitive practices or coincidences, and has counter-accused Polymarket of imitating its own ideas. Polymarket has not yet taken legal action but stated that it is closely investigating the matter.
