The President's Digital Asset Advisor recently stated in an interview that a major legal hurdle has been cleared in establishing the reserves. He expects an announcement regarding the U.S. Bitcoin strategic reserves to be made in the coming weeks. According to previous estimates, the reserves hold 328,000 BTC, roughly 1.6% of the global supply. Most of these come from assets seized through law enforcement.
