[USS Mason Destroyer Enters Middle East Theater]
Reported by Jinse Finance, on April 30, according to CCTV International News, on April 29 local time, the U.S. stated that the USS Mason guided-missile destroyer has entered its designated operational waters and joined the USS George H.W. Bush Carrier Strike Group to carry out missions. The destroyer is deployed in coordination with several other destroyers and is part of one of the three carrier strike groups currently operating in the Middle East region. According to earlier reports, the USS Abraham Lincoln and USS Gerald R. Ford carrier strike groups are respectively deployed in the Red Sea and the northern Arabian Sea. The USS George H.W. Bush is likely to replace the USS Gerald R. Ford.
