🚨 A privacy researcher just dropped something every Claude user needs to read. The claim: installing Claude Desktop may silently inject a "native messaging bridge" into your browsers. Not just the browsers you use. ALL of them. Including ones that are not even supported. It pre-authorizes extensions that run in the background. Users are reportedly NOT clearly informed this is happening. The source is calling it "spyware-like behavior." This has NOT been independently confirmed yet. Anthropic has not responded publicly. But if true, this is not a small privacy footnote. This is a company that built its entire brand on being the "safe and trustworthy" AI lab getting caught installing hidden system components on your machine without telling you.
