World ID launches its largest upgrade: integration with Tinder and Zoom, strengthening the application scenario of 'real person verification' According to BlockBeats, on April 18th, World released a major upgrade to the World ID protocol, covering approximately 18 million Orb verified users worldwide and expanding to over 160 countries, making it the most important version iteration to date. This upgrade focuses on introducing multiple practical application scenarios: Integrate with Tinder to provide users with a 'real person authentication identifier' to enhance the authenticity of their social interactions Integrate Zoom and launch Deepfake verification function to confirm that call participants are real humans Release the Concert Kit ticketing tool for identity verification and anti scalping of event tickets In addition, World has simultaneously launched an independent World ID application (beta version) as a cross platform identity authentication tool and open-source SDK, allowing third-party applications to build their own authentication systems. On the technical level, this upgrade adds new mechanisms for key management, key rotation, account recovery, and session management, and proposes the concept of "Human Continuity", emphasizing the continuous verification of the same real individual in multiple interactions, rather than just verifying devices or accounts. In terms of ecology, Reddit is exploring its use for identifying automated accounts, and Razer and Mythical Games have introduced this standard in gaming scenarios. In terms of business model, World ID will charge a fee for accessing the application (charged based on active users), while the user end will continue to use it for free. The fees can be settled through on chain wallets or third-party services, and support automatic allocation at the protocol layer.
