[Former BCB Group CEO Robbed at Knifepoint, Assailants Specifically Demanded Cryptocurrency Private Keys]
According to a report by Golden Finance on April 13, citing the Daily Mail, former BCB Group CEO and current Greater Things CEO Oliver von Landsberg-Sadie and his family were robbed at knifepoint at their home in Maidenhead, Berkshire, on April 2. Four assailants tied up his family and specifically demanded the private keys to cryptocurrency wallets.
Oliver von Landsberg-Sadie stated that the robbers were clearly targeting cryptocurrency and showed no interest in the Aston Martin car parked in the driveway. Since he did not possess any cryptocurrency assets, the robbers ultimately made off with cash, silverware, and jewelry. Thames Valley Police are currently investigating the incident. Oliver later issued a warning, urging founders, CEOs, and other public figures in the cryptocurrency industry to be vigilant against such organized and targeted crimes and to enhance personal security measures.
