[Third Round of Talks Lasts Until Late Night, Three Major Issues in U.S.-Iran Negotiations Remain Unresolved]
According to Golden Finance, on April 12 (local time), the third round of negotiations between Iran and the United States in Islamabad has concluded. The Iranian side described this round of talks as the 'last chance' to reach a framework agreement. Since April 11, the negotiation agenda has been intense, with discussions extending late into the night. Both sides are seizing the temporary ceasefire window to intensify their bargaining, but sharp differences remain on three core issues: control of the Strait of Hormuz, unfreezing overseas assets, and uranium enrichment.
Outside the negotiation table, the U.S. military announced mine-clearing operations in the Strait of Hormuz, while the Israeli Prime Minister declared that they would continue to strike Iran and its proxies. With the ceasefire window rapidly closing, diplomatic maneuvering and military actions are escalating simultaneously, placing the Middle East at a crossroads between war and peace.
