Brother Sun's Tron is truly the Hermès of public chains. This is NOT an ad for Brother Sun. While other public chains are competing to lower gas fees, it turns out Tron has been raising fees over the past few years. The other night, I transferred some USDT from my wallet to an exchange, and the gas fee was 4-5 USDT. I’m used to transfers costing just 0.1 USDT, so seeing 4 USDT pop up was a bit shocking. After looking into it, I realized that transferring to an empty wallet (a recipient address with no USDT balance) requires double the energy, about 13.4 TRX. At the current TRX price of $0.3, that’s over 4 USDT. Other public chains are begging you to use them, but Tron’s attitude is: use it if you want, if not, then leave. Stop saying Brother Sun is all about coconut chicken and hand cream. The high-profile clients on Tron don’t care how much the gas fees increase—they’re loyal to Justin Sun. Respect or not?
