Legislation requiring the Trump Administration to extend Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 3 years for Haitians in the U.S will receive a House vote next month, after a discharge petition Friday received its 218th signature enough to force a floor vote. 4 Republicans Reps. Salazar (FL), Fitzpatrick (PA), Lawler (NY) & Bacon (NE) signed on along with 214 Democrats including the 218th Gluesenkamp Perez (WA) on Friday. The last discharge petition to reach 218 was announced on the House floor by Rep. McGovern (D-MA) in mid-December to force a floor vote on a 3-year ACA subsidies extension bill. @cspan https://clerk.house.gov/DischargePetition/2026012215?Page=2(Craig Caplan)
