The Turkish parliament removed cryptocurrency-related tax provisions during the review of a comprehensive bill. Previously, the provisions proposed a 0.3% transaction tax on crypto trades conducted through service providers and a withholding tax on crypto earnings. This adjustment came after strong opposition from the opposition parties. Officials stated that the related content might be reintroduced in the future as a standalone legislation.
