Last night, the CEO of the American Bankers Association, which oversees $25 trillion, shouted in front of thousands of bankers: Banks welcome competition and innovation, but they don’t support an unfair competitive environment. New entrants (crypto companies) want to offer banking-like services, but they don’t follow the existing rules of the banking industry. We won’t allow this to happen.
