**[Foreign Investors' Purchases of U.S. Stocks Surge 134% in 2025]** According to a report by Jinse Finance, in 2025, the total amount of U.S. stocks purchased by foreign investors more than doubled compared to the previous year, despite market disruptions caused by Trump's tariff policies and the resulting uncertainty over corporate prospects. Data released by the U.S. Treasury on Wednesday showed that foreign investors made net purchases of U.S. stocks totaling $720.1 billion last year, a 134% increase from $307.5 billion in 2024. Owen Lamont, Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Acadian Asset Management, stated, "The notion of 'selling America' has been exaggerated, at least when it comes to stocks." He added, "What we are witnessing is American exceptionalism. The intense preference for U.S. tech stocks seems to persist."
