I have returned to Jamaica after attending the CAF International Economic Forum in Panama, which provided a valuable platform for engagement with our Latin American counterparts. The forum created important opportunities for Jamaica to strengthen relationships with Latin countries, particularly in areas of economic cooperation, development financing, trade, and regional integration. These engagements are critical to advancing Jamaica’s economic interests, expanding access to development resources, and strengthening Jamaica’s position within an increasingly interconnected Latin American economic space. This administration remains committed to building strong diplomatic partnerships as we navigate an increasingly complex and evolving geopolitical climate. It is essential that Jamaica continues to have a voice and a seat at the table in global discussions, ensuring that our policies, priorities, challenges, and opportunities are clearly represented and understood on the international stage, while also reinforcing Jamaica’s role as a trusted partner in international cooperation, economic diplomacy, and the collective pursuit of stability, resilience, and long-term development.(Andrew Holness)
