After the Russia-Ukraine war started, did housing prices in major cities of Russia and Ukraine drop 90% in USD terms? Asked AI about it, and the results were shocking:
1. After the war began, Russian housing prices once surged several times and are still higher than pre-war levels.
2. Ukrainian housing prices initially dropped 30%, but now are close to pre-war levels.
However, leading real estate companies collapsed, and due to poor liquidity and the crazy depreciation of fiat currencies during the war, housing prices remained relatively stable.
A very counterintuitive result.
