Zhang Yunming, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), stated that the next step for MIIT will be to continuously promote technological innovation and iterative upgrades in humanoid robots, using humanoid robots as a small entry point to drive the development of the broader computational intelligence industry. Efforts will be made to strengthen the inspection and testing of product quality, network, and data security for humanoid robots, as well as to conduct research and management services related to scientific and technological ethics, ensuring high-quality development with high-level security guarantees. Additionally, MIIT will accelerate the establishment of a humanoid robot ecosystem, enhance the support of the National Artificial Intelligence Industry Investment Fund for humanoid robots, build an open-source community for humanoid robots, release guidelines for the construction of a comprehensive standardization system for humanoid robots and embodied intelligence, and promote the global sharing of innovative achievements.
