The son of the deputy mayor of Ukraine was kidnapped and killed by a classmate due to encrypted assets. The suspect forced a confession of his wallet password and then set fire to silence him Odaily Planet Daily reported that at the end of November this year, a car arson murder case related to cryptocurrency occurred in Vienna, Austria. The local police revealed that two suspects have been arrested in Ukraine recently. The victim is Danila Kuzmin, the 21-year-old son of Sergei Kuzmin, Deputy Mayor of Kharkiv, Ukraine. The police investigation shows that the suspect's motive for the crime was to obtain the victim's cryptocurrency wallet password. During her study abroad in Vienna, Daniela revealed to one of the suspects the identity of her father and information about the family's possession of encrypted assets. Subsequently, Daniela was attacked in the underground parking lot of the Sofitel Vienna hotel, forcibly taken away, and detained in the car for several hours, during which she was continuously beaten and tortured until she handed over the passwords for two encrypted wallets. The Vienna police confirmed that Danila's encrypted wallet subsequently had a large transfer record. After clearing his encrypted assets, the suspect abandoned Daniela in the back seat of the vehicle and set it on fire. The Mercedes Benz car that was burned is hanging a Ukrainian license plate registered under the name of its family. The identities of the two suspects were subsequently confirmed: one was Alexander Agoev, a 45 year old former Ukrainian customs officer, and the other was Bogdan Reynjuk, a 19-year-old stepson of Olesya Ilashuk, the Ukrainian Ambassador to Bulgaria. During the arrest, the police seized a large amount of US dollars in cash from the suspect, with Agoev carrying nearly 90000 US dollars with him. The case is still under further investigation.
