[OKX: Evidence of Manipulation of OM Price Found, Submitted to Regulators and Initiated Legal Proceedings] OKX posted on the X platform stating that it has found conclusive evidence that multiple interrelated and colluding accounts used a large amount of OM as collateral to borrow a significant amount of USDT, artificially inflating the price of OM. The OKX risk team correctly identified this abnormal activity, contacted the account holders, and requested corrective actions, but they refused to cooperate. To mitigate risks, OKX took over these related accounts. Shortly after, the price of OM plummeted. OKX liquidated only a small amount of OM, but the sharp price drop still resulted in significant losses, all of which were covered by the OKX Security Fund. Additionally, multiple third-party analyses indicate that the price crash was primarily triggered by perpetual contract trading on non-OKX platforms. The OKX Security Fund operated entirely according to its designed mechanism. OKX has submitted all evidence and documentation to regulatory and law enforcement agencies. Several lawsuits and legal proceedings are currently underway.
