U.S. AI DEVELOPERS FACE HIGHER ELECTRICITY COSTS THAN CHINESE PEERS
At the Edmond de Rothschild AM 2026 investment outlook conference, CIO Benjamin Melman noted that U.S. AI firms face a competitive disadvantage due to higher electricity prices. He stated that domestic power supply is insufficient to meet rapidly growing AI demand, while electricity remains significantly cheaper in China.
