Checked it out, Binance's official Twitter accounts are probably in the dozens.
T0: The one with the most followers and the biggest influence is the official Binance English account.
T1: The core accounts for Binance's business content output, which are the official accounts for various business lines, like the Binance Futures account involved in this incident.
T2: These are the official accounts for different countries and regions, with relatively fewer followers and less attention.
When a coin gets listed on Binance, the listing team and the person in charge definitely know first, followed by the editors who draft announcements and the social media managers who post tweets.
The listing team doesn’t really need to be a concern. Generally, they wouldn’t dare to leak information or engage in insider trading. Their salaries at Binance are already very generous, and since they’re all in the same department, it’s easy to monitor and manage them. There’s no need to risk breaking the law and losing their jobs.
But managing so many social media managers is indeed a challenge, as they’re most likely not in the same department.
With complex compensation and management structures, it’s inevitable that some individuals might have selfish motives and try to make some extra cash.
That said, I believe these are isolated cases. Most Binance employees really value their jobs.
