From Bundibugyo, I proceeded to Ntoroko with the NRM leadership. I reminded our people that Uganda has remained peaceful even while bordering conflict areas such as Congo, South Sudan and Somalia. We are now hosting about 700,000 refugees from the DRC, a clear sign of the stability the NRM has built. I instructed the PPS to invite the Prime Minister and the Head of Public Service to update us on the 9,000 flood victims who are still stranded. We shall also review the budget for the Semuliki Bridge so we determine the required funding. On the high costs faced by PDM beneficiaries, I directed Minister Raphael Magyezi and the PDM Secretariat to meet those affected and resolve the issue.(Yoweri K Museveni)
